Privacy Policy

How we handle the personal data you share with us through this website. Last updated 25 May 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you visit aidriatic.com (the "Site") or contact us through it. We are committed to handling personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Croatian data protection law.

1. Who we are

AIDRIATIC is operated by KodAI, obrt za računalno programiranje, a sole proprietorship (obrt) owned by Patrik Božurić and established in Sisak, Croatia, European Union. This business is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

  • Legal entity: KodAI, obrt za računalno programiranje, vl. Patrik Božurić
  • Registration number (MB): 98901834
  • Personal identification number (OIB): 94382801211
  • Registered address: Slavonska ulica 42, 44000 Sisak, Croatia
  • Contact for privacy matters: patrik@aidriatic.com

2. What personal data we collect

We only collect the personal data you choose to give us, plus the limited technical data your browser sends automatically when loading any website.

Contact and demo requests

Our contact form does not transmit anything to us on its own. When you complete it, your browser opens a pre-filled email in your own mail application, which you then choose to send. We receive the information you include — your name, company, role or title (optional), email address, fleet size (optional), and any message — only once you send that email (or email us directly).

Technical data

Like all websites, our hosting infrastructure may automatically process limited technical information such as your IP address and request metadata in server logs, for the purpose of delivering the Site securely and reliably. We do not use this data to build profiles or to track you across other sites.

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

We use the information you send us by email to respond to your enquiry, arrange and run product demonstrations, and communicate with you about the products you asked about.

Our legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest(GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in responding to enquiries that you have initiated and in conducting our business-to-business sales activities. You may object to this processing at any time (see "Your rights" below). Server-log technical data is processed on the same legitimate-interest basis, namely operating and securing the Site.

4. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf (as "processors") strictly to operate the Site and respond to you:

  • Our website hosting provider, which serves the Site and maintains server logs.
  • Our email hosting provider, which receives and stores the messages you send us.

These providers act only on our instructions and are bound by appropriate data-processing agreements. We may also disclose personal data where required by law.

5. International transfers

If a provider we rely on (for example, our email hosting provider) processes data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on an appropriate safeguard — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision — so that your data continues to receive a level of protection equivalent to that guaranteed within the EEA.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep the messages you send us for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and for a reasonable period afterwards in line with our legitimate business and legal record-keeping needs. When the data is no longer needed, we delete it. Server logs are retained only for a short period for security and operational purposes.

7. Cookies and tracking

This Site does not use cookies, web-storage tracking, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics. We do not profile visitors or track you across other websites. Fonts used on the Site are self-hosted, so your browser does not make requests to third-party font services when you visit. Because we do not store or access any non-essential information on your device, no cookie-consent banner is required.

If we introduce analytics or other technologies that do use cookies or similar storage in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent where the law requires it.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure of your data;
  • request restriction of, or object to, our processing — including objecting to processing based on legitimate interest;
  • request portability of the data you provided to us; and
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at patrik@aidriatic.com. You also have the right to complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, azop.hr.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep the data you share with us safe.

10. Children

The Site and our products are intended for maritime industry professionals and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Site.
